Cardiology

The Department of Cardiology is one of the Departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD) which has been established since February 16, 2005 with the Decree of the Rector of Udayana University Denpasar Number: 41/J14/PR.00.10/2005. Department of Cardiology FK UNUD has the task of Service, Education, and Research. In particular, the Department actively conducts educational activities with the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, Professional Doctors, and the Cardiology Specialist Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The Department of Cardiology has 8 divisions, consisting of the Division of Invasive and Non-Surgical Interventions, the Division of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging, the Division of Non-Invasive Echocardiography, the Division of Pacing and Electrophysiology, the Division of Intensive and Cardiovascular Care, the Division of Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease, the Division of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, and the Division of Vascular Medicine. All divisions actively synergize to provide services, education, and research. The Department routinely conducts Community Service and collaborates between Departments within FK UNUD, as well as continuous cooperation with the Indonesian Cardiovascular Specialist Association (PERKI) organization. In addition, ongoing cooperation with PERKI and between Departments, includes research activities both locally, nationally and internationally. This is done to improve the internal and external quality of the Department so that it is able to produce quality services, education, and research.
