Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology FK UNUD / RSUP Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah Denpasar was established on March 13, 2008 in accordance with the Decree on the Implementation of a new Study Program at Udayana University Number: 851/D/T/2008. Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology is one of the departments in the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD). The Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology FK UNUD actively conducts education for the Bachelor of Medicine, Professional Doctor, Specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology, as well as S2 and S3 Study Programs. The Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology has 5 divisions, each of which actively conducts Tri Dharma activities in service, education and research. The five divisions are the pediatrics division, spine division, oncology division, hand division, and lower division. Research activities, both basic and clinical research are also the main agenda that continues to be developed with innovation and collaboration with both domestic and foreign institutions. In addition, community service activities are also routinely carried out with other departments at FK UNUD as well as with the Bali branch of the Indonesian Orthopaedic and Traumatology Specialist Association (PABOI) organization. The Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology currently has 18 staff who carry out their duties at Dr. Prof. IGNG Ngoerah Hospital and UNUD RSPTN with staff allocation: in the Lower Division consists of 5 staff including, 2 Hip & Knee consultants, 1 Sport Orthopaedic consultant, 1 Foot & Ankle consultant, and 1 general orthopaedic person. Spine Division consists of 4 spine consultants and 1 general orthopaedic. Pediatrics Division consists of 2 people including, 1 pediatrics consultant professor and 1 general orthopaedic. Then the Hand Division consists of 2 hand consultants and 1 general orthopaedic. The Oncology Division consists of 1 professor, 1 oncology consultant and 1 general orthopaedist. For the next step, the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology plans to equalize staff or lecturers to become consultants to complete all divisions.
