Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery

The Department of Ear Nose Throat Head Neck Surgery (THT-BKL) is one of the departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD) which organizes educational activities for the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, Professional Doctor, and Specialist Doctor Education Program in Ear Nose Throat Head Neck Surgery. Since March 23, 2000, the Department of ENT-BKL FK Unud has graduated more than 100 ENT-BKL specialists spread across various regions of Indonesia. The Department of ENT-BKL FK Unud consists of 9 divisions, each of which is active in conducting research and community service activities.

The nine divisions are Rhinology, Pharynx-larynx, Otology, Neurootology, Broncoesophagology, Facial Plastic Reconstruction, Oncology, Allergy-Immunology, and ENT-Community. The Department of ENT-BKL FK Unud actively holds seminars, both national and international, and plays an active role in community service activities that are routinely carried out in collaboration with humanitarian foundations, the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), and the organization of the Bali-NTT Branch of the ENT-BKL specialist association (PERHATI-KL).

With the vision of "Producing excellent, independent and cultured ENT-KL specialists with special advantages in the management of hearing loss and deafness and having competitiveness at the national, regional and global levels in 2025", the Department of ENT-BKL Health Sciences organizes several excellent educational and research programs on, among others, cochlear implant surgery, OAE examination, ASSR, BERA, head and neck oncology, and others.
