Securing P2MW Funding, Udayana Medical Students' "KalpaTaru Healing" Herbal Ointment Innovation Advances to KMI Expo XVII

Proud news has once again emerged from the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud). An interdisciplinary student team from FK Unud successfully advanced their innovative product to the national KMI EXPO XVII event through the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) grant. This student entrepreneurial team comprises five members from various strategic fields:

3. I Gede Darma Wiguna (Class of 2024)

• Student from the Pharmacy Study Program

1. Ni Made Dinda Widya Paramitha (Class of 2024)

• Student from the Economics Study Program

1. Ni Putu Elsa Puspita Dewi (Class of 2024)

This transdisciplinary collaboration successfully produced a health innovation named "KalpaTaru Healing: Herbal Wound Ointment made from *Pegagan* (Gotu Kola) and *Jeruju* (Sea Holly) Leaf Extracts." The product was developed as a tangible application of Indonesia's native medicinal plant potential, combined with clinical pharmacological knowledge and business management expertise.

Throughout this journey, the student team received intensive guidance from Ns. Nyoman Agus Jagat Raya, S.Kep., MNS, a lecturer in the FK Unud Nursing Study Program. After passing a rigorous selection process in the P2MW program, the KalpaTaru Healing team secured full funding and is ready to compete in the final stage of KMI EXPO XVII, which will be held at Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed), Purwokerto.

This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to the spirit of Udayana medical students in innovating, collaborating across sectors, and transforming creative ideas into products of high economic value.
