2022 Basic Neurosurgical Skills Course

In order to continue the Continuing Medical Education (PKB) program, especially for the development of basic skills in the field of neurosurgery. The Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University/ Prof dr IGNG Ngoerah held a Lecture and Hands-on Workshop "Basic Neurosurgical Skill Course 2022" at the Aesculap Academy BiTDeC Bali International Training & Development Center (5-6 November 2022).

The Basic Neurosurgical Skill Course 2022 (BNSC 2022) event began with remarks from the Chairperson of the BNSC 2022 Committee, dr. Dewa Putu Wisnu Wardhana, Sp.BS(K), FICS, followed by remarks from Chef De Clinique, Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program, FK UNUD, Prof. Dr. dr. Sri Maliawan, Sp.BS(K), and the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K). In his speech, Dr. Eka Wiratnaya, appreciated the interest of the participants from all regions in Indonesia who took the time to attend training to hone basic skills in the field of neurosurgery.

This training aims to improve the ability of participants so that they can support patient safety. In addition, capacity building will also increase the competitiveness of participants with doctors abroad.

The program on the first day was followed by the giving of 4 lecture sessions and 4 workshop sessions guided by resource persons who were competent in their fields. This activity was attended by students, general practitioners, and residents on a national scale. It is hoped that this training can be used as a standard for basic skills training in the field of neurosurgery nationally.
