Accreditation of Eye Health Specialist Study Programs in the Field, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

The Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes) conducted a field assessment in the context of accreditation of the Eye Health Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This accreditation is carried out to maintain and improve the quality of education and services at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

Located in the Prof. Dr. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah, the field assessment by LAM-PTKes was held for 3 days from 27 to 29 September 2022 with 2 assessors, namely:
1. Dr. dr. Tri Rahayu, Sp.M (K), FIACLE (Assessor 1)
2. Dr. dr. Debby Shintiya Dewi, Sp.M (K) (Assessor 2)
 
The event began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes, and at the same time opened the accreditation event for the Eye Health Specialist Study Program.

Dr. Januartha in his speech said that the Eye Health Specialist Study Program is one of 33 study programs within the Faculty of Medicine, Unud and has been established since 2008. The study program which is a young category has produced graduates who are currently devoted not only in Bali but abroad. Bali is included in a remote area. In addition, lecturers and students have achieved many achievements related to the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

"The community always demands that we can provide optimal services both locally, regionally and globally so that in the future we are obliged to maintain the quality of education so that we are able to produce independent graduates that are needed by the community," he said.

Furthermore, the Dean of FK Unud expressed his hope for the assessor team to be able to see firsthand the conditions in the field in order to provide the input needed to improve the Eye Health Specialist Study Program in the future and become a routine and continuous activity.

This activity was also attended by the Head of the SIRS Installation RSUP Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah, Deputy Deans of FK Unud, Coordinator of the Learning Development Unit and Quality Assurance of FK Unud, Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit of FK Unud, Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit of FK Unud, Coordinator of the Education Coordination Committee Unit of FK Unud, Accreditation Task Force Team, Professors and Lecturers of Specialist Study Programs
