Bali Update Anesthesia Skill 2025: Strengthening Collaboration and Innovation in Anesthesia in the Era of Artificial Intelligence
The Indonesian Association of Anesthesiologists and Intensive Care Physicians (PERDATIN) Bali Branch, in collaboration with the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, successfully held the Bali Update Anesthesia Skill (BUAS) 2025 on July 25–26, 2025, at the Bali International Conference Center, Badung.
This two-day scientific event carried the theme "Advancing Anesthesia, Enhancing Lives," demonstrating our commitment to advancing anesthesia practice focused on patient safety and quality of life.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., who in his remarks emphasized the importance of updating anesthesiology in the digital age. The opening ceremony was marked by the symbolic striking of a gong, which initiated the symposium.
BUAS 2025 featured a variety of interactive scientific sessions, workshops, case discussions, and a scientific poster competition, presented in a dynamic and in-depth manner.
The speakers, national experts in the field of anesthesia and intensive care, discussed cutting-edge issues such as:
* Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Anesthesiology: from Generative AI to its application in Target-Controlled Infusion (TCI).
* The Future of Anesthesia Education: highlighting the importance of collaboration between generations of physicians.
* Regional Anesthesia and Postoperative Pain: including the implementation of peripheral nerve blocks as a primary technique for surgical anesthesia.
* Opioid-Free Approaches (Opioid-Free Anesthesia and Analgesia).
* Future Anesthetic Agents.
* Green Anesthesia: a commitment to environmentally friendly anesthesia by reducing the carbon footprint in clinical practice.
A total of 209 participants, consisting of general practitioners, residents, and specialists from various regions, attended BUAS 2025. This forum served as a collaborative space to share knowledge, technology, and clinical experience in addressing the challenges of modern anesthesia practice.
The Bali Update Anesthesia Skill 2025 is not only a learning platform, but also a momentum to strengthen professional networks and encourage innovation in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care.
