Bali International Dental Symposium (BIDS) 2018 is an event organized by the Bachelor of Dentistry and Professional Dentistry Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and was held on 10-12 May 2018 at The Stone Hotel, Legian, Bali. This international event which was first held by PSSKGPDG FK Unud carries the theme " Improving Quality of Dental Health and Patient Protection Through Understanding of Professional Ethics in Supporting Dental Tourism ".

Drg. Steffano Aditya Handoko, MPH as chairman of the organizing committee stated that dental tourism is very important considering that we are in one of the favorite tourist destinations for the people of Indonesia and even the world. The high cost of dental treatment abroad is an advantage for dentists, especially those who live in Bali.

BIDS 2018 presents 23 speakers who are experts in their fields equipped with various hands-ons plus an exhibition of dental equipment at affordable prices.

The event, which will be held every two years, is expected to add insight to students and dentists, especially regarding dental tourism . (end)
