Cleft Lips And Celestial Social Service 2019

Cleft lip and palate or cleft palate is a public health problem that requires comprehensive treatment with the aim of improving function, cosmetics, fulfilling nutritional needs and preventing complications. As a form of application of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Specialist Study Program held a Social Service with the theme "Your Smile is Our Smile, the Smile of the Indonesian Nation". This activity took place on 23-24 August 2019, in collaboration with the Bali Smile Foundation and Dharma Yadnya Hospital. Parents of patients who participated in this activity were given education in the form of counseling about cleft lip and palate with the aim of increasing parents' knowledge of the child's condition. Furthermore, data collection was carried out with a total of 22 patients. Based on these data obtained the patient's identity, diagnosis and surgery plan. A total of 12 patients were operated on on the first day and 10 patients on the second day. The surgery was carried out by Plastic Surgeons including, dr. AA.GN Asmarajaya, Sp.B, Sp.BP-RE (K), dr. I Gst Pt Hendra Sanjaya, Sp.B, Sp.BP-RE, dr. Agus Roy Rusly H Hamid, Sp.BP-RE (K), dr. Made Suka Adnyana, Sp.BP-RE (K) and dr. Ratna Rayeni Natasha Roosseno, Sp.BP-RE. The activity went smoothly and ended with a group photo session.
