Tourism Nursing-Based Interventions to Support Community Health Development in Penglipuran Villages, Bangli

Community service as an effort of the Bachelor of Nursing and Nursing Profession Program at Udayana University to work with the community to overcome health problems in their environment. Various health problems can occur in the community. These health problems occur as a result of the community's inability to recognize health problems, make decisions, maintain the environment and utilize existing health service facilities. More efforts have been made on curative and rehabilitative aspects, so that promotive and preventive aspects cannot be implemented optimally. One form of activity that has been carried out by the Bangli District Health Office is the formation of health cadres in Penglipuran Tourism Village. Tourism nursing-based interventions for the community in Penglipuran Tourism Village are carried out as an effort to support community health development. The intervention was carried out from August to October 2018 which was attended by 150 people. The method used is health services, lectures with demonstrations on first aid in accidents, distribution of leaflets, providing assistance with cleaning tools and medicines, and administering pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Data obtained from health services found that 30% of the population suffered from hypertension and 45% of the population had uric acid levels above normal. The results of the questionnaire analysis showed an increase in participants' knowledge from the mean value of 58.6 to 88.3 after being given lectures and demonstrations about first aid in accidents.
