Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Implements Mentoring Program in the Preparation of the West Sumbawa Regency Government Work Plan
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), is implementing a capacity building program for human resources in the planning and preparation of the 2025 West Sumbawa Regency Health Office Work Plan (Renja).
This program is a collaboration between FK Unud, the Indonesian Ministry of Health, and the West Sumbawa Regency Government. The program involves a four-month mentoring program, which includes various activities including training, seminars/workshops, field visits, and assistance in the preparation of the 2025 West Sumbawa Regency Work Plan.
The third workshop featured Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., as a resource person.
The mentoring team was led by Dr. dr. Ketut Suarjana, MPH., with team members Dr. Arya Utami MPH., Ph.D., Putu Suaryani, SKM., M.DevHealth, and Dr. Made Kerta Duana, SKM., MPH.
The current mentoring program is aimed at advocacy efforts in the preparation and finalization of the Strategic Plan (Renstra) and Work Plan (Renja) drafts for the West Sumbawa Regency Health Office.
The event was attended and opened by the Head of the West Sumbawa Regency Health Office. He expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude on behalf of the regional government for the mentoring program, which will result in a robust and high-quality Renja. This activity is also very beneficial for improving the capacity of human resources, particularly community health center staff and health workers in the program planning sector at the West Sumbawa Regency Health Office.
Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., the Program Supervisor and Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, views the importance of this collaboration as one of the obligations of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education). This collaboration will contribute to public health development and strengthen health human resources in the region. He also expressed his hope that further collaboration can be established in other regions facing similar challenges.
