Field Assessment of LAM-PTKes Accreditation for the Pediatric Health Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University


The Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) conducted a field assessment for the accreditation of the Pediatric Health Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The purpose of LAM-PTKes accreditation is to ensure the quality of higher education health programs meets global standards, foster a culture of continuous quality improvement, and produce competent graduates who are relevant to the needs of the community and the national health system.


Officially opened in the Dr. A. A. Made Djelantik meeting room, Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University, Denpasar, the field assessment by LAM-PTKes was held over four days, from August 25th to 28th, 2025, and was assessed by three (3) assessors:

1. Dr. Aditiawati, Sp.A, Subsp. Endocrinology (K) (Assessor 1)

2. Dr. Dina Muktiarti, Sp.A, Subsp. Allergy Immunology (K) (Assessor 2)

3. Prof. Dr. dr. Ari Yunanto, Sp.A, Subsp. Neonatology (K), S.H (Assessor 3)


The opening ceremony began with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., and the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., who also officially opened the event. On this occasion, Prof. Januartha stated that the accreditation process is a mandate that must be implemented by all educational institutions as a form of quality assurance implementation. The presence of external parties aims to ensure that all processes of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) are implemented in accordance with regulations, rules, and standards. "We sincerely hope the assessors can provide us with insights into aspects that require improvement and enhancement to maintain the quality of our study program. External assessments will be more objective and can provide input and recommendations to enhance the quality of educational services provided by the Pediatric Health Specialist Study Program, thereby producing graduates with competencies aligned with the program's vision and mission," said Prof. Januartha.


Meanwhile, Prof. Sudarsana, in his remarks, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Assessor Team from LAM-PTKes for their willingness and dedication in conducting the field assessment for the Pediatric Health Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The Rector further stated that the Pediatric Health Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, is committed to continuously improving the quality of education, research, and community service to produce competent, professional graduates ready to contribute to the world of healthcare. Through this accreditation field assessment, we will learn and be able to measure our capabilities in providing higher education services, which we have implemented over the past few years.


"With the presence of the LAM-PTKes Assessor Team, we hope they can provide input, evaluation, and constructive suggestions for the assessment team. We believe that this assessment is not merely an assessment process, but also a valuable opportunity for Udayana University to reflect and continuously improve in an effort to maintain the quality of education in the Pediatrics Specialist Study Program at Udayana University," said Prof. Sudarsana.


Following the official opening, the event continued with a presentation of the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) profile by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., followed by a presentation of the study program profile by the Coordinator of the Pediatrics Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. Gusti Ayu Putu Nilawati, Sp.A(K)., MARS.


The LAM-PTKes accreditation opening ceremony was also attended by the Director of Udayana University Hospital, the Head of the Coordinating Committee for Education, Prof. Dr. Ngoerah, the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP3M), the Head of the USDI (University of Indonesia), the Head of the Library Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), the Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Senate, the Vice Deans of the Faculty, the Coordinators of Study Programs, the Coordinators of Units within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as well as the users of graduates and the entire Accreditation Task Force Team.


The agenda for the three-day assessment is:

1. Meetings between the assessor team and the heads of study program management units and practice facilities.

2. Discussions between the assessor team and the heads of study program management units.

3. Interviews and assessments of lecturers teaching in the study programs.

4. Interviews and assessments of the adequacy of educational staff regarding academic and non-academic services.

5. Interviews and assessments with alumni and students representing all students from each year regarding academic and non-academic services.

6. Assessment team visits to the Main Teaching Hospital and network hospitals.
