Field Assessment of Re-Accreditation of Neurology Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University


The Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) conducted a field assessment in the context of re-accreditation of the Neurology Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This re-accreditation was carried out to maintain and improve the quality of education and services at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.


Officially opened in the Dr. A A Made Djelantik meeting room, FK Unud-Denpasar Building, the field assessment by LAM-PTKes was held for 3 days on 21-23 July 2024 and assessed by 2 assessors, namely:

dr. Eko Arisetijono M., Sp.S(K), from Brawijaya University (assessor 1)

dr. Arthur Hendrik Philips M., Sp.N(K), from Sam Ratulangi University (assessor 2)


The opening ceremony began with remarks by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, M.P., IPU., who also officially opened the event. In his speech, Prof. Rai said that currently there are two study programs in the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University that are internationally certified and hopes that the Neurology Specialist Study Program can obtain the desired value, namely superior.

"We hope that the assessors can provide guidance and direction for the improvement of the Neurology Specialist Study Program so that it can achieve the predicate of Superior like the other 20 study programs in the Faculty of Medicine that have previously achieved the predicate of Superior," he said.


After being officially opened, the event continued with a presentation by the Dean of FK Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., regarding the general description of the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS), as well as a presentation from the Coordinator of the Neurology Specialist Study Program, Dr. dr. I Putu Eka Widyadharma, S.Ked., M.Sc., Sp.S (K), FIN., regarding the profile of the Neurology Specialist Study Program.


This activity was also attended by the Head of LP2M Unud, Head of LP3M Unud, Head of USDI Unud, representatives of the Head of the Unud Library, Representatives of the Director of the Network Hospital, Komkordik RSUP Prof. IGNG Ngoerah, Vice Deans of the FK Unud, Heads of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, Unit Coordinators, and the entire Accreditation Task Force Team.


The assessment agenda for 3 days is;


1. Meeting of the assessor team with the heads of study program management units and practice facilities.


2. Discussion of the assessor team with the heads of study program management units.


3. Interviews and assessments of lecturers who teach in the study program.


4. Interviews and assessments of the adequacy of educational staff regarding academic and non-academic services.


5. Interviews and assessments with alumni and students representing all students from each class regarding academic and non-academic services.


6. Assessor team visits to Main Teaching Hospitals and Network Hospitals.
