Guest lecture with Prof. Michael Joseph S. Dino from Our Lady of Fatima University, Philippines

The Nursing and Nursing Profession Undergraduate Study Program (PSSKPN) regularly holds guest lectures that present professors from foreign and domestic universities. On March 28, 2018, this guest lecture was delivered by Prof. Michael Joseph S. Dino from Our Lady of Fatima University, Philippines with a qualitative research topic. This activity was attended by students 2 batches of 2014 and 2013 as well as nursing lecturers from FK UNUD. During the activity, the speaker emphasized the importance of conducting qualitative research in the field of nursing to improve the provision of comprehensive nursing care. In addition, topics that can be researched using qualitative methods are also presented to produce research outcomes that are beneficial to the nursing field. Students and lecturers seemed enthusiastic in participating in this guest lecture, where the presentation of material and slides was very attractive so that it invited interest to listen. Students actively ask questions in the discussion session until it exceeds the scheduled discussion time limit. The speaker said that this was the first time that he saw all the participants who he gave material seemed to pay attention to his lecture from the beginning to the end of the session. This guest lecture activity ended with the giving of souvenir certificates and group photos.
