Improve Competence in Pain Management and Problems in the Field of Pediatrics, FK Unud Holds XXVII Child Health Science PKB
On June 21, 2024, the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University / Prof. Dr. I G.N.G Ngoerah Hospital again held the XXVII Continuing Medical Education (PKB) at Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur, Bali. The offline symposium and workshop of PKB IKA XXVII took the theme Current Approach and Management for Pain and Other Common Problems in Pediatric Practice which is expected to add and update knowledge in pain management and problems that occur in children;
In this XXVII PKB, the divisions involved included Neonatology, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, Growth and Social Pediatrics, Gastrohepatology, Emergency and Pediatric Hospitalization. This event was filled by speakers who are experts in their fields, both pediatricians within Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Hospital and invited speakers from outside Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Hospital.
The event began with remarks from Dr. dr. Ni Nyoman Metriani Nesa, M. Sc., Sp.A (K) as chairman of the PKB XXVII committee, followed by remarks and opening of the event by the President Director of RSUP Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah, dr. I Wayan Sudana, M.Kes., and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes.
The main event on the first day began with the topic of symposium session 1 from the division of Cardiology, Neurology and Nephrology. In the 2nd session from the division of Hemato-Oncology, Allergy Immunology, followed by Lunch Symposium I with the topic of Respirology. In the 3rd session, material was presented on the topic of Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases. The first day of the symposium was closed with an Industrial Symposium on Gastrohepatology and Lunch Symposium II on Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases.
On the second day of the PKB XXVII symposium, the divisions involved included Respirology, Tropical Infection, ERIA (Emergency and Intensive Care of Children), Social Growth and Development- Pediatrics, Gastrohepatology, Neonatology, and Endocrinology. The event began with a symposium topic session I from the Respirology, Tropical Infection, and ERIA divisions followed by Lunch Symposium II with the topic of Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases. The event continued in the 2nd session from the division of Growth and Development- Social Pediatrics, and Gastrohepatology followed by Lunch Symposium III with the topic of Growth and Development- Social Pediatrics. The last session of this symposium was the 3rd session from the division of Neonatology, and Endocrinology Industrial Symposium III and IV with the topic of Tropical Infections and Gastrohepatology.
After the third session, the event continued with parallel workshops that raised topics in the fields of Neonatology regarding preterm infant nutrition, Growth and Development- Social Pediatrics regarding the implementation of child health checks, and Gastrohepatology regarding abdominal pain.
