Indonesian Harmony

In order to commemorate and enliven the month of Independence, the Harmoni Indonesia event was held on August 5 2018. This event was held simultaneously in 48 cities throughout Indonesia and 9 cities abroad, and was attended by 38 universities. This event, which was held for the first time, was the brainchild of President Joko Widodo.

Udayana University as a Pancasila campus is one of the gathering points for organizing this activity in Bali. The event, which was held at the Unud Campus Rectorate Building, Jimbaran, was attended by the academic community, elements of the police, government agencies and representatives of universities throughout Bali. The Faculty of Medicine is trusted to be the implementing committee and the Internal Medicine Study Program is trusted to represent the Faculty of Medicine to be in charge of the outdoors as the opening of the event.

The Indonesian Harmony event at Udayana University was opened by remarks from the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B, Sp.OT (K) and the Chancellor of Udayana University Prof. Dr. dr. AA Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K), the event continued with the unfurling of the 100-meter Red and White flag and the release of red and white balloons accompanied by the Marching Band of Udayana University.

The cloudy weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants of this Harmoni Indonesia event. The event which aims to increase the spirit of unity, harmony, and nationality went well. After the unfurling of the Red and White flag, the event continued at the Widya Sabha Auditorium.

The highlight of the event was at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building which was filled with live streaming broadcasts singing simultaneously the national anthem and songs of struggle. On the occasion, the slogan for Harmoni Indonesia was also echoed, namely the greeting of Pancasila… I am Indonesian, I am Pancasila, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia at a Dead Price. The event was also enlivened by a Band Performance from the Faculty of Medicine, Poetry Reading by Prof. Wimpie Pangkahila from FK, Regional Clothing Parade and Poetry Musicalization by students of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University.
