Mount Abang Expedition

Sunday, August 18 2019, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a soft skill development activity in the form of mountain climbing. This activity is a series of orientation for new students of the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS-1 & PPDS-2), which is located in Gunung Abang, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. The purpose of this activity is to foster a sense of togetherness and eliminate the individual attitudes of students. The participants consisting of the Dean, Specialist Doctors and students, gathered at the Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Campus, then departed by bus. After arriving at the gathering point at the foot of Mount Abang, a release ceremony was held which was preceded by a joint prayer by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B, Sp.OT (K) Spine. This activity was also attended by the Coordinator of the Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Specialist Study Program, dr. I Gusti Putu Hendra Sanjaya, Sp.B, Sp.BP-RE and the Teaching Staff, dr. Agus Roy Rusly Hariantana Hamid, SpBP-RE (K). The participants work hand in hand to reach the top of Mount Abang. When reaching the peak, a prayer was held, a flag ceremony, medal distribution and informal singing of the national anthem was held. This activity can take place well thanks to the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the students, as well as the support of the teaching staff. The activity ended with the return of participants to the Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Campus.
