Prepare Yourself for Lectures, New PPDS for Even Semester 2023/2024 Take Soft Skills Training
All 176 New Students of the Specialist Doctor Education Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (PPDS FK UNUD) Even Semester FY 2023/2024 took part in soft skills training organized by the Professional Education Implementation Coordination Unit (KP3) FK UNUD. The activity was held for 2 days from 22 and 23 February 2024 at Lecture Room 4.01 – 4.02 Floor IV, Dr. A.A Made Djelantik FK UNUD Building and Skill Lab Room CVU FK UNUD Building.
On the first day, the soft skills training was filled with presentation of material on the Philosophy of Medical Education at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University by the Dean of FK UNUD, Prof. Dr. Dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes. Then it was continued with material on the Philosophy of RSUP Prof. IGNG Ngoerah by the main Director of RSUP Prof. IGNG Ngoerah, who was represented by the Education and Research Coordinator, Dr. Yohanes Yanson Purnawan, MARS. This was then followed by a 15 minute break, and continued with material on Doctor Professionalism by Dr. Dr. Dyah Kanya Wati, Sp.A (K) for 1 hour. Then the presentation of material on Principles of Scientific Writing by Dr. Gede Wira Mahadita, M Biomed, Sp.PD, FINASIM. After the lunch break, the soft skills training event continued in the A.A Made Djelantik room with Good Learner and Clinician material by Dr. Dr. IGP Suka Aryana, Sp.PD-K Ger- FINASIM and ended with Good Presentation material and group division/tasks to prepare presentations by Dr. Dr. Ni Made Renny Anggreni Rena, Sp.PD-KHOM-FINASIM
On the second day, soft skills training activities were carried out in the Skill Lab Room, CVU FK UNUD Building which was filled with socialization material on Pertor and Bullying Technical Guidelines at Udayana University by Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D. Then it was continued with material on Rules and Regulations during the PPDS-1 Education Period at RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah/FK UNUD by Dr. Dr. I Putu Pramana Suarjaya, Sp.An, M.Kes, KMan, KNA, FIPN. Then the training activities continued in lecture rooms 401 and 402 with journal review presentations by representatives of groups 5 and 6 from the pediatric health sciences, anesthesiology and reanimation, obstetrics and gynecology, eye health sciences and urology study programs.
After that, the presentation continued with the topic of Indonesian Doctors' Readiness to Welcome the Sanur Special Economic Health Zone by representatives of group 3 from the dermatovenerology, clinical microbiology, pulmonology and respiratory medicine, and clinical pathology study programs.
The presentation on the topic The Presence of Artificial Intelligence in the World of Health, Challenges or Threats was delivered by representatives of group 4 from the surgical sciences, orthopedics, ENT, and plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery study programs.
The event then continued with role play activities by group 1 from the neurosurgery, internal medicine and psychiatry study programs regarding Bullying and by group 2 from the cardiology, BTKV, neurology, anatomical pathology, clinical nutrition and radiology study programs, regarding Dynamics of Residency Life related to Hospital Services.
At the closing, the head of the Professional Education Implementation Coordination Unit, Dr. Dr. Dyah Kanya Wati Sp.A(K) announced the winners of best presenter and best role play and congratulated that all participants who took part in the training were actually very good, and were represented by the three winning groups. Apart from that, the chairman of KP3 also advised students to continue to improve their learning abilities, especially soft skills, during their education and immediately prepare prerequisite documents for taking education such as STR-P and SIP-P.
