Student Mobility Program pada Faculty of Nursing – Mahidol University , Thailand

The Nursing and Nursing Profession Undergraduate Study Program (PSSKPN) collaborates with several universities abroad. This breakthrough bridges the academic community to carry out tri dharma activities with several universities in collaboration with Udayana University including Mahidol University Thailand. In September 2018 nursing students had the opportunity to take part in the Student Mobility Program at the Faculty of Nursing – Mahidol University. PSSKPN students have the opportunity to attend several lectures related to tourism nursing by a nursing professor from Mahidol University Thailand; Some of the lecture topics that Udayana's nursing students received were health beliefs and practice under culture diversity , cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity, and cross cultural care . During the student mobility program in Thailand, students also had the opportunity to visit two hospitals with different specialties, namely Samut Sakhon Hospital and Samitivej Hospital . Students were welcomed and given direct explanations about the focus of patient care in the two hospitals by the hospital team, they even had the opportunity to visit a special school for children of migrant workers in Thailand because one of the hospitals visited was a special hospital for migrant workers. In addition to gaining insight and experience from hospital visits and lectures from professors from Mahidol University, students are also given additional insights and perspectives by being accompanied to visit the Siriraj Medical Museum and the Ministry of Public Health. This series of activities while in Thailand from September 17, 2019 to September 28, 2019 enriched the insights and experiences of students who are members of the program and also they made new friends among nursing students from Mahidol University.
