Two Guest Lectures are Being Given by the Intensive Therapy Study Program and the Anesthesiology Specialist

The Study Program Specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, invited Prof. Dr. Andre Van Zundert, MD, Ph.D, FRCA, EDRA, FANZCA, from the University of Queensland, Australia and Professor Stephen Paul Gatt, OAM, MOM, et Eundem representatives from the University of New South Wales to give lectures and discuss the latest developments in in the field of anesthesiology and intensive therapy on 16 – 18 February 2023.


The purpose of holding this event is to provide new experiences and insights for students and lecturers, as well as help improve the quality of education and research in the field of anesthesiology and intensive therapy.


Also through this program, students and lecturers will be able to gain new knowledge and experience from leading experts and practitioners in the field of anesthesiology and intensive therapy from abroad. Thus, it is hoped that students and lecturers will be more prepared and competent in facing future challenges, and be able to make a greater contribution to the development of science and technology in the fields of anesthesiology and intensive therapy.


The Visiting Professor and Visiting Lecture programs can also open opportunities for collaboration between universities in various countries, as well as provide opportunities for students to participate in student exchange programs or research abroad.


The event began with an opening and remarks from the Coordinator of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialist Study Program; Prof. Dr. dr. Tjokorda Gde Agung Senapathi, Sp.An-KAR and Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy; Dr. dr. I Made Gede Widnyana, Sp.An., M.Kes., KAR.


After opening, the event continued with presentations by resource persons which were continued with discussion sessions which were attended by all participants from the lecturers' and students' circle.
