Udayana Medical Faculty Student Wins Second Place at International Scientific Conference in Poland


I Gede Aswin Parisya Sasmana, a student in the Medical Profession Study Program, and his team, under the guidance of Dr. Desak Made Wihandani, M.Kes., won second place at the international scientific conference, the Lublin International Medical Conferences 2025 in Poland. The event, held from March 27-29, 2025, was attended by over 100 participants and involved representatives from over five countries, including Poland, Bulgaria, the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and others.


Aswin and his colleagues evaluated the potential of a liquid extract of butterfly pea flowers (Clitoria ternatea) as an agent to reduce adipose tissue dysregulation in mice induced by a high-fat diet. Other members involved included I Gusti Ngurah Agung Surya Pratama (PSKM 20), Putu Putri Agustini (PSKM 20), and Lalita Samala (Physician Profession 22). It is hoped that these results can be initial research for further research for FK students.
