Unlocking the Puzzle of Pain: Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine Holds Guest Lecture with International Speakers
The Neurology Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), held a Guest Lecture on Pain with the topic "Unlocking the Puzzle of Pain: A Path to Better Management." The lecture took place in the Dr. A.A. Made Djelantik Room, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Denpasar. (10/7/25)
The guest lecture was attended by the Coordinator of the Neurology Specialist Study Program, Dr. dr. I Putu Eka Widyadharma, M.Sc., Sp.N(K), faculty and staff, students of the Neurology Specialist Study Program, and students from other study programs within the Faculty. Speakers included Prof. Andrew Rice, MBBS, MD, FRCP, FRCA, FFPMRCA, President of IASP; Lester Jones, PhD, IASP Councilor; Prof. Dr. dr. Endang Mutiawati Rahayu Ningsih, Sp.N(K), a professor The event was attended by Dr. dr. Andi Muh. Takdir Musba, Sp.An-TI, Subsp.M.N.(K), FIPM, President of IPS; Dr. dr. Rizaldy Taslim Pinzon, M.Kes., Sp.N, IASP Grantee; and Dr. dr. Jimmy Fransisco Abadinta Barus, M.Sc., Sp.N, Indonesia MPC Toolkit Project Contributor.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T. Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K). In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude to the speakers for their attendance at this Guest Lecture, which provided a valuable opportunity for all participants, especially those in the Neurology Specialist Study Program, to gain an understanding of effective and adequate pain management. He expressed his hope that this program would continue and that the collaboration would be carried out not only within this program but also in other fields. Following the presentation by the resource person, a lively discussion session followed, with participants enthusiastically participating. The guest lecture concluded with the presentation of certificates to the resource person and a group photo session.
