FK Unud Public Health Undergraduate Study Program Holds International Guest Lecture with Speakers from Nagoya University, Japan


In order to improve the competence and understanding of students, lecturers, and various parties in improving maternal health, the Undergraduate Program in Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) held an International Guest Lecture with speakers from Nagoya University, Japan. With the theme "The Strategy for Improving Maternal Health in Japan", this event was held in the Dr. A.A. Made Djelantik Room, FK Unud Denpasar Building. (29/11/2024 )


Attended by lecturers, students, and public health practitioners, this activity presented Prof. Eiko Yamamoto, M.D., Ph.D., from the Department of Healthcare Administration, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine as a guest speaker, moderated by Ngakan Putu Anom Harjana, SKM, M.A..

The discussion provided new insights for the participants about the challenges and developments, as well as the importance of maternal health. The participants also gained knowledge about how the Japanese government's strategy to improve maternal health from various aspects.


Officially opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information of FK Unud, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D, on this occasion Prof. Ady expressed his appreciation for this international collaboration opportunity and hoped that this activity could broaden the insights of students, lecturers and public health practitioners who attended about the importance of maternal health. Furthermore, Prof. Ady hopes that this event can have a positive impact because currently in Indonesia there are still many challenges and problems in terms of improving the level of maternal health.
