The 2025 PKKMB (Family Health Care Orientation Program) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as a Place to Develop Humane, Knowledgeable, and Highly Integrity Healthcare Workers, Aligned with the Spirit of Service and Dharma
To welcome the arrival of the Udayana Health Student Family (Kamkesyana) Class of 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) attended by 786 new and returning students from six undergraduate study programs. The theme was "Ksatria Upadrawya Abhipraya, Adhyastaning Dharma," meaning the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as a place to develop humane, knowledgeable, and highly integrated healthcare workers, aligned with the spirit of service and dharma. The 2025 PKKMB (Family Retirement Orientation) activities took place solemnly and enthusiastically at the Sudirman Campus of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Denpasar, over two days, August 19th and 20th, 2025.
The opening ceremony of the 2025 PKKMB began with a report from the Committee Chair, Made Widnyana, S.Ft., M.Fis., followed by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., followed by introductions of the faculty leadership, starting with the Dean and Vice Deans, all Study Program Coordinators at the undergraduate and professional levels, the Administrative Coordinator and Sub-Coordinators. The opening ceremony was marked by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine striking a gong, accompanied by the symbolic draping of name tags by the six Undergraduate and Professional Study Program Coordinators.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine stated that the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) is expected to be a comfortable event, build a positive atmosphere, and foster a sense of belonging to the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. PKKMB is not merely a ceremonial event, but rather a forum for fostering a strong initial bond between new students and the academic environment they will enter.
He also conveyed that this activity is expected to be a welcoming and inclusive home for all new students, enabling them to develop a positive perspective from the beginning of their academic journey.
Following the introductory session, the event continued with presentations related to the faculty profile presented by:
1. Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who presented the topic "Introduction to the Faculty of Medicine," moderated by Dr. dr. I Kadek Swastika, M.Kes.
2. Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K)., as Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs, presented the topic "Knowing and Understanding Academic Guidelines (Pedomik) in the Educational Process at the Faculty of Medicine," moderated by Govinda Vittala, S.Ft., Ftr., M.Fis.
3. Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes., as Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, presented the topic "Utilization of Facilities to Support Educational Success at the Faculty of Medicine," moderated by Ni Luh Putu Shinta Devi, M.Kep.
4. Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., as Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, presented the topic "Campus Life as a Student at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University," moderated by Dr. Sang Gede Purnama, SKM., MSc.
5. dr. AA Sri Wahyuni presented on the topic of Preventing and Handling Violence in Higher Education, moderated by Anak Ayu Nyoman Trisna Narta Dewi, SSt.Ft., Ftr., M.Fis.
6. Luh Indah Desira Swandi, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, Head of the Counselor and Legal Aid Team at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, explained the Procedures and Technical Services at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, moderated by drg. Putri Marina Sukmadewi, SKG., Sp.RKG.
Overall, the Faculty of Medicine Introduction event featured six speakers with expertise in their respective fields, along with a moderator who led the interactive event. The event went well and is expected to provide new students with a deeper understanding of the academic system, facilities, services, and important values that must be upheld during their education at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
In the second material presentation session, new students were mobilized to the room according to their respective study programs to attend material on Study Program Profile, Introduction to Study Program Structure, Learning and Assessment of Learning Success presented by each Study Program Coordinator and their team.
The second day of the 2025 Faculty of Medicine (FK) PKKMB (Family Medical Student Admission) took place at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. It began with participant registration, an opening prayer, a fellowship session, and a cheer that reflected the spirit of the new students. Afterward, participants were directed to the organization rooms and booths to participate in the student organization expo. Through this activity, new students had the opportunity to gain a closer understanding of various student organizations and professional organizations, and participate in the socialization of the Smoke-Free Area (KTR) and the Healthy Campus program, which are essential components of the academic culture at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
Entering the next session, the PKKMB series continued at the study program level, where new students were introduced to student associations, professional organizations, academic and non-academic activities, and listened to motivational and testimonials from student representatives and alumni. All activities proceeded orderly, smoothly, and enthusiastically. The second day of the event officially concluded with closing remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, followed by a final cheer, committee reports, remarks from the Student Executive Board (BEM) Chair, graduation announcements, award presentations, joint documentation, and a closing prayer.
UDAYANA UNIVERSITY
