Udayana Nursing Caring People Around Us (NUCLEUS) 2025 Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University
The Nursing Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a community service program focused on the physical and mental health of the elderly. The theme of this community service program was "An Integrated Movement Towards a Healthy, Independent, and Prosperous Life through Tourism Nursing in the Golden Age," and it took place in Kukuh Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency, Bali. The Udayana Nursing event was attended by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Nursing Study Program and Nursing Professional Education, Dr. Ns. Ni Ketut Guru Prapti, S.Kep., MNS., who in her remarks expressed her hope that this community service activity would increase awareness and knowledge of the elderly in Kukuh Village, Marga District, through a promotive and preventive approach, providing mental health education and health checks.
After the opening, the event continued with a mental health screening for the elderly on July 19, 2025. Then, it continued on August 9, 2025 with an agenda for socializing the 2025 NUCLEUS activities and mini games. Then, it ended on August 10, 2025 with an agenda for providing mental health education to the elderly by Lecturers of the Undergraduate Nursing Study Program and Nursing Professional Education, FK Unud who were also the activity supervisors, namely Dr. Ns. Kadek Eka Swedarma, S.Kep., M.Kes. This NUCLEUS activity continued with a free health checkup which included measuring blood pressure, blood sugar levels, uric acid, and cholesterol, complete with health education. This activity was also attended by the Head of Kukuh Village, I Made Sugianto, Prof. Kajiwara, Prof. Izumi, Prof. Ai Kimura, and Prof. Kinuyo from the Department of Social Welfare of Kobe Women's University, Japan.
