Increase Competence and Understanding of HIV and AIDS, Internal Medicine Specialist Study Program of FK Unud Organizes BAMHOI-9 2024
In order to commemorate World AIDS Day 2024 and improve the competence and understanding of doctors, both specialists and general practitioners in the field of HIV and AIDS, the Tropics and Infection Division of the Internal Medicine Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) held the Bali Annual Scientific Meeting for HIV & Opportunistic Infection IX (BAMHOI-9) 2024 with the theme "Collective Action: Sustain and Accelerate HIV Progress". The event was held at Graha Prodia Renon, Denpasar, Bali on December 1, 2024.
This event presented various expert speakers who presented the latest topics on HIV and opportunistic infections. There were also interesting case presentations by guest speakers. The discussions that took place provided new insights for the participants regarding the challenges and latest developments in HIV management, as well as the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the management of opportunistic infections.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of FK Unud, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp. OT (K) who in his speech expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this event as a venue for collaboration and exchange of knowledge. The chairman of the committee, Dr. dr. Anak Agung Ayu Yuli Gayatri, SpPD, K-PTI, FINASIM also emphasized the importance of this activity in updating knowledge and strengthening the capacity of medical personnel who attended.
Hopefully, through BAMHOI-9, participants will gain deeper insights and be able to apply new knowledge in daily clinical practice, especially in managing patients with HIV and opportunistic infections.
