Medical Profession Study Program Students of FK Unud Win First Runner-up in World Spine 10 Event
Students of the Medical Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), Bryan Gervais de Liyis (PSPD 2019), and Tjokorda Istri Putri Mahadewi (Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, 2022), successfully won first runner-up in the research poster competition held at the World Spine 10 event, an international congress that took place on December 10-15, 2024 in Bandung, West Java. This achievement was achieved thanks to the guidance of Prof. Dr. dr. Tjokorda Gde Bagus Mahadewa, M.Kes, Sp.BS(K), Spinal, FICS, FINSS.
World Spine 10 is a global conference organized by the World Spinal Column Society (WSCS) in collaboration with the Indonesian NeuroSpine Society (INSS). This event aims to improve the quality of spinal surgery services through education, training, and international collaboration. The agenda includes pre-congress workshops such as dry workshops and hands-on cadaveric workshops, scientific presentations, symposiums, special sessions for medical personnel, and social events such as gala dinners.
This conference is designed as a forum to support the development of competence and innovation in the field of spinal surgery. In addition, this event also provides opportunities for medical personnel from various countries to establish professional networks, share experiences, and discuss the future of spinal surgery science. The success of Udayana University students is not only a source of pride for the institution, but also strengthens the position of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University as a leading academic institution globally in the field of spinal medicine and surgery.
