Blood Donation and Appointment of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Unud to be an Honorary Member of the Indonesian Student Regiment of Bali Province

The Indonesian Student Regiment Corps (Menwa) appointed the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa Sp.B., Sp.OT (K) became an honorary member of the Indonesian Student Regiment of Bali Province. The appointment event was collaborated with blood donation activities at the Udayana University Denpasar campus.

According to the Head of the Indonesian Menwa Corps of Bali Province, Bagus Ngurah Rai, this appointment was due to Prof. Dr. Suyasa's many achievements in the effort to take care of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The Unud Ugrasena Student Regiment Team and the Janar Duta Medical Assistance Team (TBM) of FK Unud have great achievements in participating in the vaccination process. And it is hoped that collaboration activities in the future can be improved again.

The forerunner to the birth of Menwa Ugrasena was at Unud during the time of Prof. IB Mantra as Unud Chancellor. In his journey, Menwa experienced quite a number of ups and downs in his activities. In his journey, Menwa Ugrasena has presented a number of services, such as participating in East Timor, Middle East operations, and of course in the development process with existing components, from Kodam IX/Udayana, local government, and universities in Bali. In the future, the Menwa Corps will emphasize more state defense activities carried out from kindergarten to university level. "We have been able to print around 7239 state defense cadres and have received appreciation from the Ministry of Home Affairs," he explained

For his appointment as an honorary member of the Menwa Corps, Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa expressed his gratitude, in the future his party will continue to strive to develop student activities in order to maintain the integrity of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia. Caring for and protecting the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is our responsibility to the fighters who have founded this Homeland.

One of these efforts, his party will synergize and collaborate with Menwa in student activities, because it is an important part of doing community service. It is hoped that this synergy will create great strength, both in terms of ability, knowledge, and work for the community, nation and state. "Especially in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, students are expected to care about the current conditions. At least jointly campaign for compliance with health protocols,” said Prof. Suyasa.
