Collaboration of Tsinghua Shouteast Asia Center and FK Unud Improves Lecturer Competence in the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Systems in Laboratory Examination


In order to introduce aspects of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital systems in laboratory examinations such as routine hematology examinations to the genomic level, Lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD)/Prof. IGNG Ngoerah Hospital attended a workshop entitled: Nature and Nurture Interplay organized by Tsinghua Shouteast Asia Center at the University in Diversity Campus Bali. This activity was held on January 13-14, 2024.


This workshop presented speakers: Professor Willem Owehand, Emeritus Professor of Experimental Haematology, Director of Research Honorary Consultant in Haematology at Cambridge University Hospitals, University College London Hospitals and NHS Blood and Transplant.


This workshop also opens up opportunities for research collaboration in the field of AI in laboratory examinations, especially for maternal and child examinations. This collaboration will be followed up further by the relevant Departments within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and Prof. IGNG General Hospital. Ngoerah, Denpasar, Bali.
