Commemorating National Children's Day 2026, the Public Health Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a community service event at the Bali Disabled Children's Development Foundation.
The Public Health Student Association (HMKM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), held a community service event at an orphanage. The program, "LENTERA PEDULI" (Circle of Empathy and Sincere Intentions in the Framework of Caring Actions), is part of the 2026 National Children's Day celebrations, aiming to foster empathy, concern, and a spirit of togetherness for children in orphanages, especially children with special needs. The theme of the event is "Sharing Care, Spreading Hope," which encourages all parties to believe that simple acts of care, shared together, can bring hope and happiness to others. The event took place at the Bali Foundation for the Development of Disabled Children (YPAC) on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
Through a series of interactive and meaningful activities, such as educational games, bonding activities, watching inspirational stories, a tree of hope, and a performance stage, the children were invited to experience a warm, fun, and supportive atmosphere. The event also included a donation distribution as a tangible manifestation of concern for the needs of children in the orphanage, and a tumpeng (rice cone) cutting ceremony to symbolize the celebration of National Children's Day 2026.
The event was also attended by Ni Komang Dea Ananda, Head of the Special Division of the Maternal and Child Health Student Community; Melani Dwi Rahayu, Chair of the Public Health Student Association; Ms. Sugihartanti, M.Pd., a representative from the Bali Foundation for the Development of Disabled Children; and Ms. Desak Nym Widyanthini, S.ST., M.Kes., Advisor of the Special Division of the Maternal and Child Health Student Community, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
By holding this activity, it is hoped that it will not only provide happiness and memorable experiences for children, but also strengthen social relationships and foster the values of empathy, caring, and a spirit of sharing among all parties involved in commemorating National Children's Day 2026.
