Community Service at the Denpasar City Sea Star Krama Bendega Forum

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University together with the Denpasar City Government and Hiswana Migas Bali-Pertamina provided basic food assistance packages to communities affected by Covid-19.

A total of 120 food packages donations from FK Unud lecturers were given to fishermen who are members of the Denpasar City Sea Star Krama Bendega Forum, Tuesday (26/5/2020) at the Sunrise Coastal Coast this afternoon.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B., Sp.OT(K) stated that this assistance is a form of empathy and the spirit of mutual cooperation in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. On this occasion, his party also socialized the importance of following health protocols, maintaining a clean lifestyle, and increasing body resistance.

The Denpasar City Starfish Krama Bendega Forum has 891 members consisting of 22 fishing groups and 5 Community Monitoring Groups (POKMASWAS). The Covid-19 pandemic and extreme weather that has occurred in recent months have caused people's catches and purchasing power to decline.
