Community Service Program for the Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Student Executive Board in Abuan Village, Kintamani, Bangli

The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, through its Hippocrates Social Work Program (KERSOSHIPP) XXV, officially held an activity with the theme "Terragut: Building Sustainable Digestive Health in Rural Communities." This activity was carried out as a form of community service focused on improving digestive health through a promotive, preventive, and sustainable approach. The opening ceremony took place in Abuan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

This opening ceremony also marked the inauguration of Abuan Village as a fostered village by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, along with six other Faculty of Medicine Student Associations. This inauguration marked the beginning of a long-term commitment to service that will be implemented continuously for three years through various health programs tailored to community needs. To mark the beginning of the development program, a blueprint for the Fostered Village was handed over to Abuan Village, outlining the direction and sustainability of the program over the next three years, building collaboration between students and the community.

The opening ceremony began with remarks from Dr. Cokorda Agung Wahyu Purnamasidhi, M.Biomed., SpPD., a representative from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and Dinar Saurmauli Lubis, SKM, MPH, PhD., the advisor of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the head of Abuan Village. The opening ceremony was followed by a symbolic opening ceremony with the village community. The enthusiasm and support from the community demonstrated the initial strong collaboration in implementing sustainable community service activities.

In addition to free health checks, the community also received a health education lecture, delivered by Dr. I Wayan Sugiritama, MKes. Through this activity, it is hoped that Abuan Village can become a fostered partner capable of developing alongside students to create a healthier, more independent community that is aware of the importance of maintaining good health.
