Continuing Medical Education (PKB) Lung IV Udayana University

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program was one of the programs at the Udayana Faculty of Medicine that had a role in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Various efforts have been made to reduce mortality and morbidity due to COVID-19 by collaborating with other colleagues.


After struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently facing an endemic period with COVID-19 cases starting to decline with a national daily average of 20 patients per day. Various lung diseases remain the focus of service in this new normal era


Based on these conditions, the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a Continuing Medical Education (PKB) with the topic "Lung and Respiratory Diseases in the Period Towards Normal" at Aston Denpasar Hotel (28-29/05/2022)


Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, FK Unud, Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes, who was present at this opportunity in person, said "For the past two years the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program is one of the study programs at the Udayana Faculty of Medicine that has played a role in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, as the saying goes. -no effort will betray the results-, as well as the case of COVID-19 which has now decreased greatly after we have fought together to deal with this pandemic. However, our struggle does not end here. We are currently still faced with various lung diseases. which is still a homework for all of us. For this reason, I really appreciate the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program which organized the IV Lung PKB symposium with the theme "Lung and Respiratory Diseases in the Period Towards Normal". he said.


This PKB IV Lung was attended by participants from various provinces. This indicates that PKB IV Lung is quite attractive to colleagues from various regions in Indonesia.

According to the Coordinator for Education and Research at Sanglah Hospital, Dr Yohanes Yanson Purnawan, "Through this symposium, I hope to add insight and knowledge to the participants, especially to further explore lung disease in the future towards normal in accordance with the current PKB IV Lung theme." he said.


PKB IV Lung was also attended by Prof. Dr.dr Muhammad Amin as professor of Indonesian respiration from FK Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Dr.dr Ida Bagus Ngurah Rai as professor of pulmonology and respiratory medicine at FK Udayana, along with the Coordinator of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program, FK Unud and Chair of PDPI Bali.

The chairman of the PKB IV Lung committee, dr. Oky Aryanthana Sp.P hopes that this symposium will run smoothly and can provide benefits for all participants.
