The Dharma CPHI Program of FK Unud has been running since 2016 until now in the areas of Sanur Kaja, Sanur Kauh and Sanur Village as pilot villages for rabies control integrated with a one health approach. This activity has succeeded in creating the first Village Regulation in Bali regarding Procedures for keeping dogs to reduce the risk of contracting rabies. Through the activities of the Dharma Program, which formed rabies cadres in each banjar, it was recorded that all dogs were vaccinated, their types and numbers so that group immunity and rabies-free areas could be established. Through this hearing, it is hoped that this program can be continued and distributed in all villages in Denpasar City in particular and throughout Bali in the future.
According to Sanur Headquarters Kaja I Made Sudana, the Sanur area has benefited greatly from the presence of the Dharma Program. The village already has complete data regarding data on vaccinated and unvaccinated dogs, street dogs and the coordinates of the points. This data is held by the village and rabies cadres per banjar so that in the event of a bite case it is easy to clarify. He encouraged other villages to follow the example of Sanur Kaja.
The Mayor of Denpasar welcomed the arrival of the Dharma Program in an effort to control rabies. The mayor asked the head of the agriculture office to follow up on this activity in the villages and sub-districts in Denpasar City. If a mayor's regulation is needed to support this activity, it must coordinate with the legal bureau. Related to the limited rabies vaccine in humans, it will be followed up later because the funding has been submitted to the center. At this meeting, a Dharma Program activity report was also submitted as well as a Dharma Program Guidebook.
