Delegates from Undergraduate Nursing Study Program and Nursing Professional Education, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Participate in Sakura Science Exchange Program in Japan


Delegates from Undergraduate Nursing Study Program and Nursing Professional Education, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, have participated in Sakura Science Exchange Program held in Japan. This program is part of the ongoing collaboration between Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and Kobe Women’s University.


The program lasts for ten days, from January 7 to 16, 2025, and includes various academic activities and visits to health care facilities in Japan. The main activities in this program include seminars and discussions on elderly health care in Japan, community-based elderly health services, and visits to various elderly health care facilities. In addition, this activity also includes cultural exchange between delegates from Indonesia and Japan.


The delegation from Udayana University who participated in this activity consisted of two professional students, namely Ni Wayan Regitha Widiastuti, S.Kep and Galuh Suryati Nareswari, S.Kep, accompanied by a supervisor, Ns. Ni Luh Putu Eva Yanti, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.Kom.


On the side of Kobe Women's University, this program is led by Prof. Taeko Izumi, with team members consisting of Prof. Ai Kimura, Prof. Naemi Kajiwara, and Associate Prof. Kinoyu Matsumoto.


Through this program, it is hoped that participants can gain broader insights into the elderly health care system in Japan, while strengthening academic cooperation between Udayana University and Kobe Women's University. With this exchange of knowledge and experience, students and lecturers can develop a deeper understanding of community-based elderly nursing practices that can be applied in the context of health services in Indonesia.
