Delivery of Basic Food Packages to Convalescent Plasma Donors

A series of Blood Donor and Convalescent Plasma Donor activities organized by FK Unud in collaboration with the Indonesian Blood Donor Association (PDDI) Prov.Bali, Today (Friday, 23/07/2021) Dean of FK Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB., SpOT(K) together with the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance of FK Unud Prof.Dr.dr. AA Wiradewi Lestari, S.Ked., SpPK(K) received food packages from PDDI to be distributed to Convalescent Plasma donors who have participated in this activity.

On this occasion, Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB., SpOT(K) said that this activity was in order to raise convalescent plasma to meet the needs related to the handling of Covid-19 patients. “I thank all elements of society and the TNI-Polri who have actively participated in this activity. Hopefully this activity can be sustainable to maintain the health of the Balinese people.” he said

He further added, “I also urge the public, especially survivors, to be willing to donate their blood to be used as convalescent plasma therapy to help our brothers and sisters who are being treated.

I hope that PDDI never gets tired of gathering donors, because PDDI is the spearhead to get volunteer donors to meet the needs of the hospital," he concluded.

The activity, which has been held since July 21, 2021, has succeeded in collecting 42 bags of normal blood and 16 bags of convalescent plasma.
