DENTIN 2018

Dental Health Promotion and Prevention or better known as DENTIN is a community service activity that is routinely carried out every year by the Dentistry Student Association, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This time, DENTIN was held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Banjar Perean, Perean Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan.

Ni Kadek Ayu Lestari Dewi as the chief executive said that the purpose of this event was to improve the dental and oral health of the community and elementary school students. Dewi also stated that this year's DENTIN activities were different from previous years. This time, the co-ass students were directly involved in guarding the posts provided (Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Conservation, and Pedodontics posts) accompanied by lecturers from the Bachelor of Dentistry and Dentistry Profession Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. conduct direct health checks on the community. In addition, other students also helped in screening and counseling in elementary schools. The total participants in DENTIN this time are 173 people with 39 people and the rest are elementary, kindergarten, and PAUD students.
According to Dewi, this year's DENTIN activities have been running quite smoothly despite several obstacles. Dewi hopes that next year's DENTIN will certainly be even better than the current year, with more ideas and innovations, and hopefully through DENTIN, the Bachelor of Dentistry and Professional Dentistry Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University can be increasingly recognized by the wider community.
