Department of Anatomy and Histology FK Unud as the organizer of the PAAI PIN in 2024
The Indonesian Anatomists Association (PAAI) is an organization consisting of anatomists and histologists from institutions throughout Indonesia. PAAI holds a national scientific meeting (PIN) every year by appointing one of the branches as the organizer. The 2024 PAAI PIN was held in Bali with a series of workshops held in parallel with the topics Anatomical modification for animal models in biomedical research: nephrectomy, ureter ligation, and ovariectomy; Preservation sample isolation, RT-PCR, Next Generation Sequencing; and Update on techniques for washing and cryopreservation of human sperm. In addition to workshops, PAAI activities also include the National Work Meeting (Rakernas) I and symposium held on October 23-26, 2024.
The Dean of FK Unud, Prof. Dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes attended and opened the PAAI PIN symposium on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Prime Plaza Hotel, Sanur, Denpasar. In his speech, the Dean said that the meeting of anatomists and histologists plays a very important role in the development of basic medical science and hopes that this meeting can increase the interest of doctors, lecturers, researchers to join as anatomists and histologists.
The chairman of the committee, Dr. dr. I Wayan Sugiritama, M.Kes, reported that the 200 participants of the workshop and symposium were members and non-members of PAAI from various cities in Indonesia. Sugiritama also expressed his gratitude for the support of FK Unud in the implementation of PIN PAAI 2024. This activity is a collaboration of PAAI members, who are members of the Department of Anatomy and Histology of the Faculty of Medicine throughout Bali and Nusa Tenggara.
