Ensuring Graduate Quality: Faculty of Medicine Unud Holds "High Wall" Academic Review for Undergraduate Medical Students

The Undergraduate Medical Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), held the "High Wall" Academic Review (*Yudisium Tembok Tinggi*) for students from the Classes of 2023 and 2024. The event took place at the Dr. A.A. Made Djelantik Room, FK Unud Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, on Friday, August 7, 2026. Participation in this review is mandatory for fourth-semester students as a prerequisite for advancing to the fifth semester.

The event began with a report from the Undergraduate Medical Study Program Coordinator, dr. I Made Winarsa Ruma, S.Ked., Ph.D. In his remarks, he noted that the total number of participants for this August 2026 review was 243, comprising students from both the Class of 2023 and the Class of 2024.

He emphasized that these rigorous evaluation standards are implemented to ensure the quality of students' knowledge and their grasp of basic medical sciences before they proceed to the next stage of their education. A similar evaluation will be conducted again in the seventh semester. On this occasion, dr. Winarsa also announced the top three students:

1. Evan Nathan Sucita

2. I Gusti Agung Ngurah Krisna Rajendra Wibawa

3. Chelsea Graciella Liem

Following the announcement of the top students, the event continued with remarks from the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Prof. dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D. He expressed deep appreciation to the Study Program Coordinator and the Education Supervisor of the Undergraduate Medical Study Program for successfully guiding the students through the completion of the fourth semester.

Prof. Ady also congratulated the students who successfully passed this "High Wall" phase. To students who did not pass, he offered words of encouragement, noting that opportunities remain to study and improve so they can catch up and advance to the fifth semester.

"It is hoped that all students will maintain their enthusiasm for learning, strengthen collaboration, and avoid complacency in order to earn their medical degrees on schedule," said Prof. Ady.

The event concluded with congratulations extended to all participants. Also in attendance were the Education Coordinator for the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Dr. dr. I Kadek Swastika, S.Ked., M.Kes.; the Head of the Curriculum Team for the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Dr. dr. Dewa Putu Wisnu Wardhana, S.Ked., MHPE, Sp.BS, Subsp.TB, FINSS, FICS; and the Education Secretary for the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Dr. dr. I Gusti Ayu Artini, S.Ked., M.Sc.
