Exploration of Community Service Collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the Bali Sehat Foundation, Abang District, Karangasem Regency
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, received a visit from the Bali Sehat Foundation, Abang District, Karangasem Regency, for a hearing to discuss a collaboration on Community Service activities in the form of Health Social Services, specifically in the Karangasem area and its surroundings. The meeting took place in the Dean's Meeting Room of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Denpasar. (10/15/25)
The purpose of this activity is to improve access to healthcare for underprivileged communities in the Karangasem area and provide a platform for students and healthcare workers to hone their clinical and communication skills through field activities. The program also aims to establish long-term partnerships between educational institutions and humanitarian-based healthcare services. This aims to build awareness and social spirit in providing medical services to remote communities.
The delegation from the Bali Sehat Foundation was led by the Foundation's Chairman, Dr. Lanang Krishna Angga K, S.Ked. accompanied by Human Resource Development (HRD) I Gusti Ayu Mirah Suwinita and received directly by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., who was accompanied by the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS), Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes.
In his remarks, Prof. Ady stated that the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, highly appreciates and supports this activity to advance health in Karangasem Regency, Bali in general, and that the Faculty of Medicine already has other collaborations with Karangasem Regency in the Tridharma of Higher Education.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. I Dewa Ayu Agung Ananda S., S.Ked., Suparyanta from the Bali Sehat Foundation, and Dr. I Dewa Ayu Agung Ananda S., S.Ked., Suparyanta from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. Agus Eka Darwinata, S.Ked., Ph.D., Medical Assistance Team (TBM) Supervisor Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pramesemara, S.Ked., M.Biomed, Sp.And., and two representatives from the Medical Assistance Team (TBM).
Following the opening ceremony, the event continued with a discussion session and concluded with an exchange of souvenirs.
