The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, received a visit from Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital and Kaimana Regional General Hospital, West Papua, on January 5, 2026, at the Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Room, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Denpasar Campus. The purpose of the visit was to sign an extension of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, and Kaimana Regional General Hospital, West Papua, regarding the implementation of education, community service, and health services for specialist study programs at Kaimana Regional General Hospital, West Papua. Acting Director of Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah, Dr. I Wayan Sudana, M.Kes., along with his entourage and the Director of the Kaimana Regional General Hospital, West Papua, Dr. Vinsensia Thie, MM., were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K). On this occasion, he expressed his appreciation and gratitude for entrusting the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, to provide education, community service, and health services for specialist study programs at the Kaimana Regional General Hospital, West Papua. Prof. Eka also requested understanding for not being able to fully allocate the required number of residents or PPDS to assist with medical services at the Kaimana Regional General Hospital, West Papua.
The signing of the extension of the cooperation agreement was also attended by representatives from Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Hospital, namely the Director of Medical and Nursing, Dr. I Made Darmajaya, Sp.B, Sp.BA (K)., MARS.; the Director of Operational Services, Dr. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Ketut Sukadarma, S.Kp., M.Kes., and the Research and Development Manager, Dr. Yohanes Yanson Purnawan, MARS., while the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, was also attended by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D.; the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, S.Ked., M.Kes.; representatives from the Internal Medicine Specialist Study Program, the Surgery Specialist Study Program, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Study Program, the Neurology Specialist Study Program, the ENT-BKL Health Specialist Study Program, and the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS), Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes.
The event continued with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. General Hospital, and the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah and Kaimana Regional Hospital, West Papua and closed with a group photo session.
