Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Provides Free Health Checks, Early Detection of Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer

In the framework of the series of celebrations for the 63rd Anniversary of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DPW) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and the Semi-Autonomous Body (BSO) of the Cancer Care Student Group (KOMPAK) in collaboration with the Badung Regency Health Office held a Health Check, Early Detection of Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer which took place at the Cakra Vidya Usada (CVU) Building, Faculty of Medicine, Denpasar Campus. The event began with remarks by the Chairperson of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) FK Unud Dr. dr. Desak Made Wihandani, M.Kes., who in his speech expressed his gratitude to the Badung Regency Health Office for its cooperation with the DWP FK Unud to organize health checks, early detection checks for breast cancer and cervical cancer, especially in Bali according to the Governor's direction in 2023, he hopes that the results will be positive, and if there are any positive ones, they can be prevented early.

The event was continued with remarks from the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K) who expressed his gratitude to the Chairperson of the DPW FK Unud for organizing community service which is very important for health checks and early detection checks for the prevention of breast cancer and cervical cancer, where the earlier cancer is known, the greater the chance of recovery.

"The hope for the future is for BSO KOMPAK to continue to work together with the Badung Regency Health Office to organize more health checks and early detection checks for cancer like this with a longer implementation time," said Dr. Eka Wiratnaya.

The event was also attended by the Dharma Wania Persatuan (DWP) in the Faculty of Medicine and members of BSO KOMPAK FK Unud.
