Field Assessment for Re-Accreditation of the Undergraduate Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

The National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) conducted a field assessment for the Re-Accreditation of the Undergraduate Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud). This process aims to ensure the quality of higher education meets national and international standards, foster a culture of continuous quality improvement, and ensure competent graduates who meet the needs of society.

The field assessment took place over three days, November 10–12, 2025, and was conducted offline in the Dr. A. A. Made Djelantik Meeting Room, FK Unud Building, Denpasar. The two BAN-PT assessors assigned to this activity were:

1. Prof. Dr. Hj. Ulfiah, M.Si., CPCE

2. Prof. Dr. Suryanto, M.Si.

The opening ceremony began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT (K)., Subsp. Onk. Ort. R., who welcomed and expressed his appreciation to the assessors.

"We are grateful for the assessment team's willingness to attend and conduct the field assessment at the Undergraduate Psychology Study Program at Udayana University. The Faculty of Medicine has a Quality Development, Learning, and Assurance Unit (UP3M) that coordinates the quality assurance process at the faculty level. Meanwhile, at the study program level, the Quality Assurance Implementation Team (TPPM) plays an active role in overseeing the re-accreditation process. Moving forward, we are committed to developing the Professional Psychology Study Program and, in the long term, encouraging the establishment of a Faculty of Psychology after achieving superior accreditation," said Prof. Eka.

Next, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Made Sucipta, S.T., M.T., IPM., also delivered remarks and officially opened the event.

"We express our appreciation and gratitude to the BAN-PT Assessor Team for their dedication. The Undergraduate Psychology Study Program plays a strategic role in maintaining and improving the mental health of human resources. Udayana University is committed to promoting this program as an independent faculty so that it can play a greater role in the development of psychology science and services in the community. We hope this assessment will be a crucial opportunity for reflection, evaluation, and strengthening of academic governance," said Prof. Sucipta.

The opening ceremony was attended by various stakeholders, including:

• Representatives of the Bali Provincial Education, Youth, and Sports Office

• Representatives of the Denpasar City Cooperatives and MSMEs Office

• Representatives of the Class IIA Women's Correctional Institution and the Class IIA Denpasar Prison

• Representatives of the Bali Provincial National Narcotics Agency

• Representatives of the Indonesian Community Guidance Association for the Bali Region

• Representatives of the South Denpasar Family Welfare Movement Team

• Users of graduates, alumni, and students from the Udayana University Alumni Association (Ikayana) Psychology Community

In addition, the Chairpersons or representatives of the Institute for Research, Community Service, and Community Service (LPPM), the Institute for Student Affairs (LP3M), the Indonesian Student Union (USDI), the Library Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), the Chairperson of the Faculty of Medicine Unud Senate, the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine Unud, the Study Program and Unit Coordinators within the Faculty of Medicine Unud, and the Psychology Study Program Accreditation Task Force Team were also present.

During the three-day field assessment, the assessor team carried out various activities, including:

1. Interviews with faculty leaders, study program managers, and the task force team.

2. Evaluation of lecturers teaching in the study program.

3. Interviews with educational staff regarding academic and non-academic services.

4. Discussions with graduate users, alumni, and students from various classes to assess satisfaction and the effectiveness of educational services.

Through these activities, it is hoped that the Undergraduate Psychology Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, can continue to strengthen its academic quality and institutional governance to achieve superior accreditation and contribute significantly to improving public mental health.
