Field Assessment of the Proposed Implementation of the Surgical Subspecialty Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) received an online meeting from the Field Evaluation Team from the Directorate of Institutional Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, in preparation for the implementation of the Surgical Subspecialty Study Program. The meeting took place in the Dean's Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, FK Unud Building, Denpasar. (January 6, 2026)

The main agenda for today's evaluation was:

1. Directions and technical instructions by the Field Evaluation Team

2. Presentation by the prospective Study Program Coordinator

3. Document Assessment and Interviews by the Field Evaluation Team with Prospective Lecturers

4. Curriculum Document Assessment

5. Facilities and Infrastructure Assessment

6. Internal Team Plenary Session

7. Field Evaluation Team Plenary Session

The Field Evaluation Team members in attendance were:

1. Prof. Dr. dr. Dewi Masyithah, MKT, Sp.Par.K

2. Prof. Dr. David S. Perdanakusuma, dr., Sp.B.P.R.E., Subsp.E.L.(K)

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K)., who in his remarks conveyed that the Faculty of Medicine strongly supports and encourages the development of study programs within the Faculty of Medicine. He hoped that the presence of the Field Evaluation Team would provide input, encouragement, and support for the establishment of the Surgical Subspecialty Study Program. Hopefully, this activity will run smoothly and add to the number of Subspecialty Study Programs within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The event continued with remarks from the Rector of Udayana University, represented by the Acting Head of the Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Made Alit Karyawan Salaian, DEA.

This field assessment activity was also attended by the Director of Human Resources Education and Research of Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, Ken Wirianti, SE, MRM., Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, M.Kes., Coordinator of UP3M of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, dr. I Made Winarsa Ruma, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Surgery, dr. I Made Darmajaya, Sp.B., Sp.BA(K)., MARS, Coordinator of the Specialist Study Program in Surgery, Dr. dr. I Made Mulyawan, Sp.B-KBD and Candidate Coordinator of the Sub-Specialist Study Program in Surgery.
