FK Unud and the Indonesian Ministry of Health Work Together to Accelerate Domestic Vaccination Development Research

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University received a visit from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in the context of collaboration between the government and educational institutions in accelerating domestic vaccine development research. dr. The purpose of this visit is in the context of collaborative cooperation in mapping the development and research of domestic vaccines between the government and educational institutions.


The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., who was present directly on this occasion said that our country is a tropical country, vaccines are a very important modality to overcome or prevent these infectious diseases.


"At Udayana University, there are actually a number of experts and have been involved in the development of viral vaccines. The arrival of the Ministry of Health team will of course be a very beneficial collaboration for FK Unud." he said.


The event continued with a discussion session and a visit to the Integrated Biomedical Laboratory (LBT) to see vaccine development facilities and evaluate the potential of the Integrated Biomedical Laboratory as a vaccine development laboratory.


Also attending from the Indonesian Ministry of Health were Mendawati, S. Si. Apt, Roni Syah Putra S.Fram, Apt. MKM., Eatherina Juliana Marbun, S. Fram. Apt., and Dzurrotun Nasichah, S. Fram. Meanwhile, from FK Unud, this meeting was also attended by the Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit (UP2M) Dr. Agus Eka Darwinata, S.Ked., Ph.D, Head of the Department of Microbiology dr. Ni Nengah Dwi Fatmawati, S.Ked., Sp.MK(K)., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program dr. I Wayan Sumardika, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed., Ph.D, along with the domestic vaccine research and development team.
