FK Unud Clinical Pathology Specialist Study Program Holds International Guest Lecture with Speakers from the University of Amsterdam and Padjajaran University

In order to improve the competence of students (residents) and teaching staff in conducting research, the Clinical Pathology Specialist Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) held an International Guest Lecture with speakers from the University of Amsterdam and Padjajaran University. With the theme "Empowering Research Through International Collaboration and Experience Sharing", this event was held in the Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Conference Room, FK Unud Denpasar Building. Attended by teaching staff and residents, this activity presented three speakers, namely:

1. Prof. Constance Schultsz, M.D., Ph.D (University of Amsterdam) with the topic of International collaboration in Research.

2. Prof. Adhi Kristianto Sugianli, M.D., Ph.D (Padjajaran University) on the topic of Research Collaboration and Human Capacity Building

3. Prof. Dr. dr. A.A. Wiradewi Lestari, Sp.PK (K) (Udayana University) with the topic Clinical Manifestation and Laboratory Findings of Streptococcus Suis Infection in Human in Southeast Asia

Officially opened by the Dean of FK Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., on this occasion Prof. Januartha expressed his appreciation for this international collaboration opportunity and hoped that this activity could broaden the insights of students and lecturers about the importance of collaboration in carrying out research. Furthermore, Prof. Januartha hopes that this event can strengthen academic relations between FK Unud and global institutions in the field of research implementation and development.

The discussion that took place provided new insights for the participants about challenges and developments, as well as the importance of collaboration in carrying out research both with national and international institutions. This International Guest Lecture is expected to be a stepping stone for the FK Unud Clinical Pathology Specialist Study Program in strengthening international collaboration for the development of research and academic capacity.

After the guest lecture, the initiation of cooperation in the fields of education and research between Udayana University, Padjajaran University and Amsterdam UMC was carried out, accompanied by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D., as well as the Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit (UPIKS) FK Unud, Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes.
