FK Unud Conducts Strengthening of Natural Material Research Development at UPF Traditional Health Services of Dr. Sardjito General Hospital.
In order to strengthen the development of natural material research, the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University (FK Unud) under the leadership of the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes visited Dr. Sardjito General Hospital, Yogyakarta. (7-8 October 2024). The activity began with a visit to the Tlogo Dlingo Aromatic Garden and the Jamu Cafe Business Unit, as well as participating in a Workshop on making balms, roll-ons, and herbal drinks. The following day, material was presented and discussions were held regarding the downstreaming of lecturer and student research that has the potential to produce commercial products as well as a tour of the post-harvest and production laboratory. The FK Unud team also visited the Hortus Medicus Pratama Clinic service which provides traditional health services as well as a research-based service vehicle.
On this occasion, the possibility of cooperation in the field of the tridharma of higher education was also discussed as well as herbal stations for students of the Undergraduate Medical Study Program and the Masters of Biomedical Sciences Study Program. Opportunities for research collaboration for teaching staff can be through joint research or laboratory testing services, preparation of plant simplicia, and natural product preparations that have gone through a standardization process.
This activity was attended by the Business Unit Coordinator, Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Master of Biomedical Sciences, Drug Development Division of the LBT Unit, UPIKS, UP3M, and UP2M along with the team.
