FK Unud Delegation Wins 1st Place in The 2nd Seameo International Conference On Food And Nutrition (ICFN) Recfon 2024

Seeing the developments in research in the field of food and nutrition in this era, there is a gap in the relationship between the food system, health and nutrition, and the environment. In order to understand the problems that occur and improve competence in the field of nutrition, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization-Regional Center for Food and Nutrition (SEAMEO RECFON) held The 2nd International Conference On Food And Nutrition which focused on environmental nutrition with the theme "Understanding the Gains, Challenges, and Opportunities in Environmental Nutrition Research, Programs and Policies in Southeast Asia". This international competition was attended by participants from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian countries. This event took place for two days, namely on October 17-18, 2024 at the RedTop Hotel Convention and Center in Central Jakarta.

A student delegation from the Public Health Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) represented Indonesia in the Education Video IG Reels competition. Ni Putu Kesya Mahesa Sukarya and Ni Gusti Agung Mas Regina Putri under the guidance of Dr. Kadek Tresna Adhi, SKM., M.Kes., succeeded in making Indonesia proud in the event by being crowned as the 1st Winner of Education Video IG Reels in The 2nd International Conference On Food And Nutrition. This competition was attended by approximately 150 participants from all over Southeast Asia.

During the two days of this forum, there were many series of activities, not only educational video and photo essay competitions but also many presentation and discussion sessions related to various innovation and research findings on the topics raised such as plenary sessions, poster presentation sessions, parallel oral presentation sessions, talk shows, marketplace sessions, keynote speeches, SEAMEO RECFON commemoration sessions, and conference synthesis. This event also collaborates with various parties including IMU University, Monash University, Mataram University, National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta, Food Bank Bandung, and UKRI GCRF Action Against Stunting.
