FK Unud in Collaboration with BKKBN Bali Province Organizes Population Public Lecture and Launching Population Clock.
The Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University in collaboration with the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) of Bali Province held a Population Public Lecture and Launching Population Clock with the theme "The Role of Students in Population-Informed Development Towards a Stunting-Free Golden Generation 2045" which took place in the Dr. A A Made Djelantik meeting room, FK Unud Building, Denpasar. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of students and stakeholders regarding population issues and the Family Development, Population and Family Planning (Bangga Kencana) program. As well as providing provisions for students to understand the Stunting Care Student Program (Important) and design activities for the community in order to reduce stunting.
This activity was opened by the Expert Staff of the Governor of Bali for Human Development and Culture Ir. I Made Sudarsana, M.Si, who in his remarks conveyed that in the framework of the consortium of universities that was inaugurated in 2022, the aim was to create a population clock program where every second the population in Indonesia changes. In the population clock program there are three indicators, namely population, number of births and number of deaths.
While the Dean of FK Unud Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., in his speech said that today's activity is one of the implementations of cooperation carried out by the Faculty of Medicine Unud with the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) of Bali Province. BKKBN Bali Province and Faculty of Medicine Unud have held joint activities several times. The Faculty of Medicine is very pleased to be able to support the activities carried out today, namely the general lecture on population and the launching of Population Clock. Population Clock is a program used to provide population data. "Hopefully this activity can provide a new perspective to the students of the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University so that they have basic concepts of how to foster population" said Prof. Januartha.
This activity began with Launching Population Clock and continued with a public lecture given by BKKBN Deputy of Population Control Dr. Eng. Bonivasius Prasetya Ichtiarto with the topic Optimizing Population Development to Realize Golden Indonesia 2045.
Participants in this activity were the Head of OPD-KB of Province / Regency / City in Bali, Head of Bappeda of Province / Regency / City in Bali, Head of BPS of Province / Regency / City in Bali, Head of BPS Prov / District / City and Students of the Faculty of Medicine Unud.
