HIV/AIDS Outreach and Mobile Health Services (Siskamling) KMPA FK Unud 2023

The Semi-Autonomous Body (BSO) of the AIDS Concern Student Group, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held the Siskamling 2023 activity which took place in Tulikup Village, Gianyar with the theme "Be An Impactful Community, Let's Play A Role To Prevent HIV/AIDS". (17/6/2023)


The purpose of holding Siskamling activities is to increase community understanding of HIV/AIDS and reduce community stigma against PLHIV. The series of Siskamling events consisted of 2 activities. Offline activities in the form of HIV/AIDS outreach to youth youth organizations and posyandu cadres throughout Tulikup Village, provision of medical equipment assistance, door-to-door outreach, as well as health check-up activities (blood pressure and glucose) for village communities. Meanwhile, a series of online activities took the form of an online campaign which was attended by all Young Members of KMPA FK Unud.


The 2023 KMPA FK Unud Siskamling activity was attended by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. dr. I Md Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., Head of Tulikup Village, Head of BEM FK Unud, Head of KMPA FK Unud, as well as invitees from other village officials.


In his remarks, Prof. Ady hoped that the Siskamling KMPA FK Unud activities could help the surrounding community to carry out early prevention of HIV/AIDS in an ongoing social dynamic. "I hope that with the knowledge possessed by KMPA FK Unud members through the activities that are taking place today, they can contribute to society so that they have sufficient knowledge to deal with and prevent HIV/AIDS." he said.
